22nd April 2005 - Australian Design Awards
CMD along with clients Cox Industries and Medigard have enjoyed vast media exposure since receiving Australian Design Awards. The Cox Stockman 2005 Lawn Tractor and the Medigard Sharps Collector RV255 were both recipients of Australian Design Awards, while the Stockman also secured a place in the
Powerhouse Museum when presented with a Powerhouse Museum Selection Award. Both products were among the 4 finalists for the overall Australian Design Award of the Year. It was a great opportunity for CMD to exhibit its diverse strengths, having entered products from completely different industries

Cox Stockman
Cox is an Australian icon with a 50 year history in Australia and is the largest ride-on mower manufacturer in the Southern Hemisphere.

The project was initially an evolution of the previous model, but as CMD worked more with Cox they ended up with a totally redesigned ride-on mower to lead the world, retaining the fundamentals while integrating many new features and benefits.  All done in such a way that the mower has wide market appeal.

Cox Industries Managing Director Mr. Ken McColl said, "It is a pleasure and an honour to receive the award for what I think is the best looking, best performing ride-on mower in Australia."

August 2005 - Powerhouse Museum
To mark the start of design week in Sydney , The Power house museum in Sydney are currently show casing winners of this years Power House Museum Awards.

The products in this exhibition demonstrate excellence not only in design, but also in innovation, sustainability and a competitive edge, which in turn ensures a prominent place for Australian design in local and global markets.

Cox, one of CMD’s clients, was honoured with a Power House Selection 2005 award earlier this year at Australian Design Awards.
